The State of Connecticut’s biennial budget for fiscal years 2020 and 2021 contains numerous changes to the Connecticut State Department of Education’s (CSDE) budget, and to the funding of education programs. Under the new budget, the CSDE’s budget is increased by $56 million (1.9 percent) in FY 2020 over estimated FY 2019 expenditures, and further increased by an additional $51.5 million (1.7 percent) in FY 2021, over FY 2020 funding levels, resulting in a $107.5 million (3.6 percent) increase in CSDE funding over the biennium.

These two documents summarize the CSDE's budget for FYs 2020 and 2021, and provide a look into the significant changes made to the department's budget.
