This policy briefing provides an overview of the regional Agricultural Science and Technology Education (also known as vocational agriculture, or Vo-Ag) program, including its history, objectives, administration, and sources of funding. The purpose of the Vo-Ag program is to serve students within a region of Connecticut by providing educational programs in the field of agriculture and occupations related to agriculture.

During the 2019-20 school year, there were 20 regional Vo-Ag centers being operated by local or regional boards of education, each of which enrolled students from a designated set of boards of education. Combined, these centers educated approximately 3,100 students during the 2019-20 school year.
