On or before the 20th day of each month, Connecticut's Office of Policy and Management, in compliance with section 4-66 of the state's General Statutes, provides the state comptroller with a forecast of revenues and expenditures for the state's General Fund.

At, or near, the beginning of each month, the state comptroller provides a budget update to the governor. The budget update provides financial statements for the General Fund and the Special Transportation Fund, and includes the comptroller's projection for any budget deficits or surpluses.

Final Report of the Connecticut Commission on Fiscal Stability and Economic Growth
Final report from the 14-member Commission on Fiscal Stability and Economic Growth, which was created as part of the biennial budget for fiscal years 2018-19. The Commission's charge was to "develop and recommend policies to achieve state government fiscal stability and promote economic growth and competitiveness within the state." Final report was unanimously adopted on March 1 and sent to the governor and the General Assembly.

Municipal Fiscal Indicators from Connecticut's Office of Policy and Management
Municipal Fiscal Indicators contains the most current financial data available for each of Connecticut's 169 municipalities. The majority of this data was compiled from the audited financial statements that are filed annually with the State of Connecticut, Office of Policy and Management, IGP Division. This database of information includes selected demographic and economic data relating to, or having an impact upon, a municipality’s financial condition. The most recent edition is for the Fiscal Years Ended 2012-2016.

FY 2019 Midterm Economic Report of the Governor
Required by Section 4-74a of the Connecticut General Statutes, this report is prepared by Connecticut's Office of Policy and Management and is required to "include the recommendations of the Governor concerning the economy and shall include an analysis of the impact of both proposed spending and proposed revenue programs on the employment, production and purchasing power of the people and industries within the state.” This report is also intended to provide a brief profile of the State of Connecticut, the economy of the state, revenues and economic assumptions that support the governor's budget, and an analysis of the impact of both proposed spending and proposed revenue programs on the economy of the State of Connecticut.

Allocated Lapses and Municipal Aid Holdbacks for FY 2018
On Friday, November 17, Governor Dannel Malloy announced budgetary “holdbacks” — or cuts — that the General Assembly mandated the governor achieve in fiscal year 2018 as part of the new biennial state budget. Most of the more than $880 million in unspecified reductions mandated by the General Assembly came from labor savings achieved through the agreement reached with the State Employee Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC) over the summer. However, the governor was still required to issue approximately $180 million in holdbacks for fiscal year 2018. These holdbacks are detailed and described in the documents accessible via the buttons to the right.
